I’m sharing a glimpse into our kitchen table refinish project!
For Christmas this year, Pedro and I were on a budget. Who isn’t these days, am I right? So we decided our family gift should be something cost efficient, but also valuable to us.
In that vein, we decided on a kitchen table refinish project. We already had the table, so now we were going to make it ours, and essentially get a brand new table with a little elbow grease. Score!
Before, the table was a country farm-style table. It was cute, but just not quite “my style“. It was the perfect project.
We were able to borrow leftovers of a customized stain that my dad had for the wood for the table refinish. Then, we purchased black spray paint for the chair and table legs. All in all, we saved a lot of money, and have a beautiful brand new table!
There’s truly nothing better than bringing new life, and new style, to an older piece. Do you agree? Let me know if so!
Here’s a breakdown of our kitchen table refinish project!
- Step 1: Sand all of the wood down. The better job you do here, the better your results come out.
- Next up: Spray liquid sand paper on the chair backs and legs.
- Then: Spray paint Liquid Black on the legs and back of table and chairs.
- Lastly: Stain all of the wood. Let it dry completely.
And there you have it! Our completed table refinish project.
