Stacy Smart & Family, Life Update
Hi, friends! I’m not even going to try to play catch up on here. It’s been a while, I know!
I do need to journal my pregnancy (the end, especially) and other life happenings around here, though. I won’t be sharing my pregnancy on my blog (still debating on sharing the birth story), but I do want it for personal record-keeping. I could try to give a brief cliff-notes version of the past few months, which would be good… but I’m not going to do that tonight. Because, let’s be honest, brief and cliff-notes and me, don’t really go together. We all know that by now!
Today, I just wanted to share real, Stacy Smart life updates. Things happening right now. Make sense?
First: I flew solo for a few hours today. I laughed and I also cried. I also didn’t get a nap. I was too worried about making sure my house was picked up. Can you relate?
Next: The nursery is a mess. Honestly, we don’t have the space or storage to put half the stuff. So, it’s all kind of just laying out everywhere. Which drives me crazy!
Lastly, I wanted to snap some photos and Oliver came right in and posed for me. How adorable! I love that little guy, my Oliver Krue. He stole my heart from the minute I heard his heart beating. I cannot believe how big he is getting!
Check out this precious photo I took:
Everyone told me once the baby was born, he would seem so big to me, and he does. But he also still seems so little. He may not be a baby anymore, but he’s just such a little boy. He’s in such a fun stage (even amidst the tantrums – because yes they definitely happen). He makes me laugh every day. I’m grateful he still comes to me to snuggle and I could still kiss his sweet cheeks a hundred times over each day.
I think that’s it for the latest Stacy Smart & family happenings. Thank you for being here with me and following along!
“I am your mother, you are my child. I am your quiet place, you are my wild. I am your calm face, you are my giggle. I am your wait, you are my wiggle. I am your dinner, you are my cake. I am your bedtime, you are my wide awake. I am your lullaby, you are my peek-a-boo. I am your goodnight kiss, and you are my I love you.”
PS. Happy Cinco De Mayo!
