Leaving 2023 and the lovely but busy holiday season, my home desperately needed a home refresh! Refreshing your living space can bring a sense of renewal and set a positive tone for the upcoming year. With a clean and new space for your family, you can set yourself up for success and be ready for whatever is thrown your way this year. In this blog, I am sharing My Home Refresh: Steps + Tips to Refresh Your Home, which includes a variety of ideas but truly comes down to trying to knock off the things on my list I’ve put off! Whether it is cleaning fans, vacuuming vents, or mopping walls, it’s their time to shine 😂 Now let’s get into this refresh!
Declutter:
The first step for any of my home refreshes begins with a clean-out and decluttering session. This refresh started with removing all the holiday decorations and ornaments. My selected weapon to make this step go smoothly is my storage bins: the Hefty Heavy-Duty Storage Bins and these Amazon Stackable Storage Bins. The hefty ones are excellent quality and hold a ton, and the Amazon ones are so handy for organizing as they are collapsible and stackable. As you declutter the holidays, it is also the time to take the opportunity to declutter your living space. Donate items you no longer need and organize the remaining ones. Once the clutter is cleared, thoroughly clean your home to create a fresh canvas.
DEEP Clean:
Next up is a deep cleaning of your home. It might not be the favorite and might be what I put off the most, making it also the most needed! My approach is to dust, spray, and wipe just about everything. As I mentioned, some of my personal main deep clean tasks are making sure to clean off all fans, then vacuuming vents, and finally, mopping walls. The Dyson V8 and Tineco iFloor 3 are my absolute favorites for home cleaning. I can accomplish almost everything with these two items, making the deep clean faster and easier, which is ideal!
Organize:Â
I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to organizing and being able to organize things and where I need them. Looking pretty is one of the best feelings, but getting it all like that can be challenging and challenging. However, these home organization items are lifesavers and essential. I have encountered quite a few, so below is an image with my favorites! Shop them all and more just by clicking the image :)))Â

Refresh Home Decor:
As much as I love holiday decor and the cozy environment it creates, swapping it out and doing a little revamp is like a breath of fresh air! This time between seasons allows for decor to be more neutral and full of timeless pieces, which I also love because it creates a clean and productive environment! For this, I also put together a mix of my favorite home decor finds for you, and it is below for you to shop and check out!Â
Change Scents:
This last step is small and essential, but it is one of my favorite tips that makes the perfect finishing touch to a home refresh. Switching out the holiday-scented candles or just for previously used scents for a new, fresh, uplifting scent can completely transform your home’s feel. Citrus, lavender, or eucalyptus are great scents that create a revitalizing atmosphere in your home. Consider using or trying out essential oil diffusers and natural air fresheners to maintain a pleasant aroma. My go-to, which I have shared before, is the Pura, and an all-time favorite is the Cozy Nights Candle from Target!
