All Things Organization: Home Organization Guide
The Neaty Gritty
When it comes to organizing your home in general, the first thing I like to do is break it down room by room and make a plan of action. Identifying the areas that need attention and establishing how to tackle each space helps me stay focused and motivated throughout the organization process. Our home’s main rooms or spaces that need or tend to do the most organizing are our bedrooms and the kitchen.
Looking at the bedrooms, I pulled together some of my must-have items for organization! The items you see above not only help get your space put together but also help you keep it that way. Maintaining organization can be one of the hardest parts of being “organized.” All of these products are awesome for bedroom storage! You will find this item useful whether it’s the closet or the room. Specifically, a friend introduced me to the Hat Racks, and they were a game changer for my husband and I! I also find the Bed Sheet Organizer Bands helpful when storing our extra sheets. Then lastly, I have heard great things about these StorageWorks Under Bed Containers and will try them out soon.
The kitchen can be known as the most used place in a home, making it the easiest to get messy. So, having some organizational methods, practices, and tools here is essential. Above are some of my favorite functional and aesthetic kitchen finds. Sometimes, organization and storage will look better, which is the last thing you want in your kitchen. However, you will see that these items have a modern or clean design, allowing them to fit perfectly into your kitchen design AND make it more organized and friendly. The Bag Storage and Utensils Drawer organizers are items that my kitchen couldn’t live without. They help keep it so organized! Then, specifically for my pantry, I love these Large Glass Jars for storing any dry goods rather than keeping them in their bags because those can tend to get ripped and leave a mess. So those keep everything fresh, organized, mess-free, and pretty!
Tips + Hacks
Viral Mom Hack:
I shared this little mom hack a while back, but I wanted to share it again here as this is one of my organization’s hacks for the little ones. Getting the kids ready for school can be a lot, especially when things are everywhere and unorganized. Therefore, I use this method of having the kids, or I set their outfits out for the next day + anything they need for the morning in one of those hanging shelves/closet organizers. The one I use in the video is from Target and has held up great; I will link it here! This hack allows for things to all be in one place and organized, saving us so much time in the mornings! Check out my video above for more :))
Label Maker:
Labeling is a simple yet powerful tool when organizing. This Label Maker from Amazon is my secret tip for identifying containers, shelves, and drawers. Categorizing items based on function or frequency of use can make locating and accessing what you need easier.
Effective Storage:
This tip is key to maintaining an organized home. Invest in storage solutions such as shelves, baskets, and storage bins to keep belongings neatly tucked away. Consider multipurpose furniture that provides both storage and functionality, maximizing the use of your space.
