With summertime and loads of sunshine right around the corner, it’s time to gear up for a fantastic summer with your little ones. I have been starting to pull out some of our favorite summer baby products and items, as well as shopping for new ones, making me want to share what I have going on! As a mom of three now, I’ve curated a list of my 5 Summer Must-Have Items that will make this season a breeze for you and your baby. Let’s dive right in!
Baby FUN in The SUN:
- Baby Sunscreen: A good sunblock! Babies have very delicate and sensitive skin, you have to be putting on a good sunblock to protect from harmful rays. I love this one – it’s water resistant and great for extra sensitive skin.The reviews are awesome! Remembering to apply it generously and reapply it every couple of hours, especially if you’re spending extended periods outdoors is key. The reviews are awesome!
- Baby Hat: We spend a lot of time outside, and it’s so easy to grab a hat (especially if you happen to forget the sunscreen). I love these giant hats with wide brims to help protect baby’s face and neck from the sun as well. Plus, they just make your little one look absolutely adorable!
- Summer Pop ‘n Play: I’ve been shopping for some playard’s with a shade canopy for outside. I’ve found several that are affordable and are easy to pop up or take down. I think I’m going to snag this one from Amazon. I plan to put it somewhere I can play with Navy while I’m working in the garden, etc. The key is getting one that has a generous canopy that offers UV protection to shield your baby from the harsh sun rays. She can play with toys and be protected from the sun and other random bugs, and stay cool!
- Swimwear: I often think of the phrase ‘just add water’ for my kids, so of course I’m going to say a SWIMSUIT of some kind. Whether it’s hitting up your local splash pad, filling a kiddie pool in the backyard or just letting kids run through the sprinklers while you watch baby, a swimsuit is a must at our house! Please never ever leave your baby unattended around any kind of water activity.
- Portable Fan: I take this fan everywhere with us. I had it in the hospital when I delivered Navy and now I take it in the car or in the stroller when we go on walks to help cool her down. It is a game-changer and perfect for summer!
