Makeup Brushes & Tools 101, let’s dive in!
Today, I’m covering something that is near and dear to me – the makeup brushes and tools and applicators that I use constantly. It really is true that the tools you use to apply your makeup, are a game-changer.
Do the tools help enhance the products you’re using? Do they make applying your makeup seamless, or a struggle?
For me, the brushes I use are so important when I apply my face makeup, my eye makeup, my highlight, etc. So today, I am highlighting a few of my very favorite applicators. Let’s go!
01. The Perfector:
The Perfector is a sponge that seamlessly blends your makeup without removing it.
To use, dampen your sponge and squeeze out excess water. Then, gently dab over your makeup to blend. Be sure to cleanse your sponge after each application and allow to air dry.
When damp, the Perfector doubles in size to create the perfect pillow for smoothing and softening without buffing off or soaking up your hard work.
02. Brush Cleaning Tile:
The Brush Cleaning Tile is a fast and easy tool for removing excess color from your brush so you can switch between shades with ease.
To use, thoroughly swipe the bristles of your brush back and forth in between color application to remove excess pigment.
This tool allows you to change colors without changing makeup brushes and pop it in your compact for fast and convenient access, right where you need it.
03. Setting Spray:
The Stay Setting Spray is a liquid spray used for a longer lasting makeup application.
After applying your makeup, hold the bottle away from your face and spray in an “x” motion. For oily skin, use before and after your makeup application for maximum staying power.
Formulated to set your flawless face, this freshly-scented multi-tasking spray can be used to prime your skin, tame your brows, and keep your makeup feeling and looking beautiful all day long.
04. Shape Brush:
The Shape Brush is specifically designed for lightly sculpting and defining the features of your face.
To use, apply a light touch of sculpt around the edges of your face, under your jawline, down your neck, or beneath your cheekbones with the larger end. Use the smaller end to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend.
Shaped to precisely fit in the contours of the face, the Shape Brush adds soft, buildable depth and dimension to your features.
