Friendship. Genuine, authentic friendships.
“Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.” — Amy Poehler
When we first moved in to our current home, I will never forget the random knock on the door one day inviting us to the park, before we had even met.
These two women immediately included our family and made us feel like welcomed friends. We enjoyed Sunday dinners together and play dates at the park.
They made me feel like someone of value! I felt seen as a person and comfort in their friendship. 👯♀️
About a year after we moved in, they both moved out of the neighborhood.
At first I was a little bitter because I love them so much! But their warmth encouraged me to try and step out of my comfort zone and be a greater friend to others. Their kindness impacted me for more than just one day, one month and one year.
Four years later and I’m still so grateful for it!!
So here’s a little reminder to be kind to those you meet, send a smile on and include those around you.
Everyone has magic to offer, if you just take some time to get to know them. You never know what it will do ✨
“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” — Muhammad Ali
