Today I’m chatting about optimism and leadership. I personally find that they go hand in hand. The quote above is one of my favorites quotes on optimism!
Notice that both the pessimist and the optimist were in the observers chair? Theyโre just ON the boat for the ride, but the leader takes charge as the captain! The leaders are the ones that are โin the arenaโ if you will, taking ACTION.
When I find myself in situations that are beyond my control, there have been times when Iโve been the pessimist. Can you relate, too? Honestly, optimism isn’t always easy. It’s usually a challenge, just like leadership.
As Iโve gotten older and wiser, Iโve learned there is so much joy in the journey. And when I remind myself of that, I usually try to be an optimist. From this day forward, youโll always find me adjusting the sails!
What about you, friend? Are you a glass half full, or glass half empty type of person? Do you seek out the silver lining in challenging situations?
Here are a few more amazing quotes from the amazing John Maxwell for a little inspiration:
“The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up.” – John C. Maxwell
“Everything rises and falls on leadership.” – John C. Maxwell
“People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision.” – John C. Maxwell
