What’s For Dinner?
For dinner today, Pedro and I wanted to create and try out a new recipe. We actually just whipped up our own sauce! Truly, we took things we like from other sauces, like Olive Garden, and combined them. And what we created was a huge hit!
It reminded me a lot of the Alfredo from Brick Oven Bistro, in Utah. The biggest differences are the eggs, heavy cream (the amount used), and the cream cheese.
If you’re currently wondering “what’s for dinner” tonight, try your hand at this recipe! It’s super easy, and it came out really great. Let me know if you give it a try yourself!
Baked Pasta Alfredo
1 pound pasta (Bowtie, Penne, your choice)
1½ cups milk
⅔ cups heavy cream
8 oz (one block) cream cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup grated Romano cheese
add basil, garlic, salt and pepper (as desired)
Directions:
Cook the pasta as directed. Next, make the Alfredo sauce.
Strain the pasta and return to pot. Add the Alfredo sauce to the cooked pasta and mix together. Put into a 9×13 dish. Add cheese on top and bake at 375 for 10 minutes. That’s it!
I am telling you – this photo does not do this dish justice. It was so yummy! The only thing we would do different is add some grilled chicken next time.
What do you think?
